Seah Teck Meng is currently ManpowerGroup’s Regional Data Protection Officer (RDPO) for Asia Pacific and Middle East (APME). ManpowerGroup is a NYSE-listed provider of workforce solutions with offices around the world. As RDPO, he leads country DPOs from UAE to Australia, Japan to Singapore, to make sure business processes comply with GDPR/local privacy laws and that employees remain cognizant of their responsibilities in dealing with personal data.

Teck Meng is both engineer and legal counsel, having started his career in the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) as an engineer before moving into law by qualifying as a patent attorney before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He has since moved through various technical and legal roles in Agilent Technologies, ST Marine, International SOS where he applied his unique blend of law, technology and operational expertise to address challenges.

With his vast hands-on experience in law, technology (he attempted at programming a neural network back in 2001) and operations, he plays an important role in exploring and customizing AI for use in legal review, data privacy and information security applications while at the same time complying with AI ethics and governance.
